Another gem from my basement. Sorry little me, all of your fears will come true, and you will be less popular in grade 8 than you were in grade 7.

Hair Metal
Some people have asked me recently how I keep my hair so shiny and soft, so I thought I would finally break the years of silence and share my patented super secret method. It starts, ladies, with a healthy intake of mammal blood. A pint a day should do, at least at the start.
Actually the truth is that my hair is disastrously unhealthy. Yesterday for example, there was a three inch long tuft sticking straight out the back. Like, did half of my hair just fall out? What happened there? It was an alarming way to start a Sunday. Also, sometimes my hair hurts.
So on that note, let’s get to it!
I’ve already discussed my overpriced hairbrush purchase. I use a Mason Pearson Boar and Nylon bristle brush. It’s fantastic and a great investment if you, ya know, consider hair brushes to be investment pieces.

Port of Morrow
[Flash 9 is required to listen to audio.]
The Shins’ Port of Morrow is my favourite album of the year so far. I’ve had it in heavy rotation since it came out in March. The whole album is very evocative, but this track in particular gets me every time.
Here is another find from my basement. I think this sums up pretty accurately what it meant to be a tween in the late 90s. Still love you, Prinze!
